Perfect fit! I was worried about the sizing chart measurements, but in the end XS is perfect (I am 5' 2" at 115 lbs) with the minimal amount of latex that doesn't tighten around your legs/hips. It indeed dries really quickly. I'm hooked and now I want this pair in every color possible! October 3, 2014
Wife's my favorite Perfect fit and extremely comfortable. They look very nice on as well. September 27, 2014
Exactly what I needed I've worn these a few times to make sure they were the right fit for my year long trip coming up in a month and they were great. When I'm active they're not sticky or wet from sweat, they also don't smell like other pairs I've owned in the past, and the fit is very comfortable. Can't wait to use them on the trip, i'll be taking 3 pairs to last the whole year :) September 13, 2014
Great in any weather These underwear are very comfortable - smooth seams and comfortable fabric that stays put while active. Wool has obvious benefits in cold, wet weather, but I've worn these on some very hot hikes and they are great for sweaty heat too. August 9, 2014
best undies to run in This is my 4th pair and I will continue to buy these undies to wear during my runs. August 1, 2014
Best. Underwear. Ever. I've worn boy short underwear for over a decade, and these are by far my favorite, so I've bought every color of the Sprite Hot Pants. I typically wear a 0 or 2 in pants, and the XS fit just perfectly. The elastic around the leg is also not tight at all (which is one of my biggest pet peeves with underwear). When I wear these with yoga pants, there's not a noticeable panty line. Not to mention, I've been in the backcountry for a few days with these and travelled and backpacked for a couple weeks in Europe with a few pair of these, and they did not stretch much or smell. Highly recommend!! July 27, 2014
great undies super comfortable, wash and wear great. I wasn't sure I'd like the specific 'hot pants' style initially but I really do. I can wear undies small or medium depending on how I want them to fit. I got a medium to wear under looser-fitting clothes and a small for form-fitting clothes. Love 'em both. I'm just shy of 5'5" and 125 lbs. July 23, 2014
My SE Asia survival underwear I have two black pair of these, one in a small and the other in extra small. I'm typically a size 5 in underwear and 6 in pants. Both pair worked well, although if pressed, I'd choose the extra small. I packed five pair of underwear for an 18-day trip in SE Asia, during the stickiest, hottest, rainiest season imaginable. The only two pair I wore the entire trip were the two Sprite Hot Pants. Despite the horribly girly name, the look appealed to me. It's tough to find women's underwear with a cool looking/sporty larger waist band. When they arrived, I was worried about the seam down the back, but never noticed it once they were on. These things worked wonders in that horrible weather, and felt great even when drenched in sweat. I survived hikes, plane rides, bus rides, boat rides, and horse buggy rides, torrential down pours (soaked to the bone), and both impromptu and planned ocean swims in these. One of my favorite things about these underwear is that when paired with the Sprite Racerback Bra, it is both underwear and swimsuit in one! No need to pack additional swimwear (I'm a fan of packing light). I hand washed these in my hotel room each evening, and they were always dry the following morning. I raved to all of my female travel companions about them, and have placed them on my "do not leave home without" travel/camping list. July 12, 2014
Wooly panties.. ...are surprising wonderful! As a convinced convert, I'm making the change from cotton to wool. May 18, 2014
New Favorite Undies! The Sprite Hot Pants are my new favorite undies. They are so comfortable! I love the cut and fit, the wide elastic for the waistband, the contrasting colors, etc. And, I love that there is not a lot of elastic at the leg openings, (I know some have said they are not a fan of this, but I love it.) because I don't like when the elastic on underwear digs into my leg and gets uncomfortable and creates underwear lines. These don't do either! I wear mine for running, but need to get more so I don't have to same them for running days. May 15, 2014
love these! These are the best version of 'boy short' underwear. Highly recommend. Icebreaker, please keep making these!! April 20, 2014
My tush is no longer cold wore these in -15 degree weather, my butt would usually go numb from being so cold, not with these, they kept my behind toasty warm :) February 3, 2014
Toasty Buns Perfect ! These have become part of my ensemble for snowboarding, snowshoeing, winter running - you name it ! I like to play hard, and now I don't get the chills when I stop. Now I can cool down gradually and properly. January 30, 2014
Lightweight, comfortable (stay in position) + warm I typically stay away from "boy short" style undergarments when exercising, as I find they often sag or pinch or ride up or bunch down during activity. These were perfect! January 12, 2014
nothing else compares! love, love, LOVE these! i'm 140lbs and the medium fits like a glove. they don't ride, they don't move, and they just plain feel good! i am weeding out all other undies and wearing only these from now on!! December 28, 2013
Love these, but miss the old waistband These are my favorite underwear for backpacking and cross country skiing. I do miss the older waistband style. They wick well and stay in place. I am a fairly curvy (size 10 or 12), but have an athletic build. It's hard to find underwear that isn't too low, but not a brief. These do it for me! I usually have VT pride and buy Ibex, but they don't make a Sprite Hot Pant! I better buy another pair just in case you change them! December 25, 2013
Excellent products Love this products - I do have shirts, jackets and now the underwear which is just perfect December 16, 2013
sprite hot pants I ordered M when a small would have been better, but overall, I love the pants, could barely tell I had them on all day. Non-itch, and comfortable. December 15, 2013
Comfort wonderful just as great as the boy shorts a prefect fit December 14, 2013
My favorite underwear I own several different types of icebreaker underwear although these are the most comfortable due to the cut and Lycra. Dries quickly after machine washing. Magenta is a gorgeous color. September 5, 2013
Best undies ever! Been wearing these for 3 years now, can't do without! Easy care, long lasting, no stink, no humidity. Used to get frozen bum skiing, that's over: never again! Comfy cut, not too low, not too high, and good space for the bum. I use it everyday, for triathlon, for skiing, for work on the farm: I use it ALL the time! That's all you'll find in my underwear drawer. June 17, 2013
Love um They are great not just to wear but no weird panty lines or bulges over the top June 6, 2013
Sporty and Sexy LOVE these undies. I now own 6 of these and am thinking about buying two more so I can wear them every day of the week! When out in the backcountry I wear them a few days at a time in total comfort. May 10, 2013
waist elastic, kinda weird So yes I do love these for their comfort, quick drying time and the fact that they don't ride up. However, the wide waistband causes weird bulging between the top and bottom of the waistband. Yes I could have bought a larger size, but I've never had a pair of drawers, no matter how wide waisted, fit that way. Won't be wearing under anything with lycra or spandex, look too much like tube of toothpaste. I purchased these because I will be traveling to a very hot climate for a couple weeks and will see how they perform and if I can get by with just two pair of underwear. September 15, 2014
Depends on your body type GF likes the materail though they ride a little high for her preferences (she's a size 2-4 and ordered a small). Other than that, she likes the color and is overall pleased. June 25, 2014
Always wanted to try these and I'm glad I finally bit the bullet and did. They are pricey but the material and construction seems worth it. I was quite worried about the sizing, but I'm a 30" waist and 40" hips and the medium fit well. The waist band is a touch small, but it's of little concern as I bought these to wear backing with pants. I did wear them with a dress yesterday and they rode up just enough to be annoying, maybe a large would have worked better. However, they work great with pants and jeans. I hand wash with Dr. Bronners at night and line dry and they are ready for the next day. Can't beat that! Time will tell how long they last. February 16, 2014
great undies but some colours really see through I bought a pair of these in gulf several months ago and really really loved them. I'm usually an XS (sometimes a S) in undies (5'6", ~115 lbs) and the XS fit perfectly. I really REALLY loved these. I'm always a fan of boyshorts, and these are just so comfy and wicking and all the greatness of IB wool. When the new colour line came out, I took the plunge and ordered a matching outfit in Azalea. It's the only purchase that I've made from IB that I've been very on-the-fence about. For one, I wasn't able to buy the S when I purchased it locally (wasn't stocked). Mea culpa, to be sure. For two, and more relevant to your purposes: the Azalea is crazy see-through. You can sort of see it in the photos, too. Not sure what to do about this. I love them, but I don't love see through sport undies. April 30, 2013
Not enough elastic in the legs. These underwear are cool and comfortable, however there is not enough elastic in the legs to keep them in place. The Hipkini, which I love, was a much better choice for me. October 1, 2014
Comfy, just not my style The band is a bit excessive--I suppose I just prefer the regular hipkinis. September 17, 2014
Beware the muffin-top! While the wide elastic waistband isn't physically uncomfortable, it does give me a wicked muffin-top. Granted, I've gained a bit in the mid-section, so if that isn't a concern of yours, perhaps these will work for you. My other concern is the lack of elastic around the leg area as this feature usually ends up riding up on me. I'll stick with the Hipkini style. August 8, 2014
Fit not as good as Hipkini Bought this item for my teenaged daughter. She says they do not fit as well as the Hipkini underwear. The problem is that they do not stay put,, but ride up. Also, she selected the Honeydew color which looks heathered in the photo, in actuality it is more of a very bright solid color. Will not be purchasing any more of these... June 26, 2014
Rides up I purchased this underwear for hiking and snowboarding. I tested them out during a 12-hour shift as a nurse, but half-way through they started to uncomfortably ride up and I found myself constantly tugging on them when no one was looking. I think this was because of the lack of elasticity around the leg and they stretched out with wear and went rogue. The Ambrosia color is fairly see-through and the band is a bright neon orange, so make sure they can't be seen or everyone will notice. But I love that even with a good amount of sweating "down there" there was no odor even after 15 hours. I'll definitely be trying a different style. April 22, 2014
Love them, but... Okay, I absolutely love these - I own multiple pairs as well as several other IB products. The fit and comfort is great and I especially love the wicking and how quickly they dry which make them great for travelling, but... has anyone else had a problem with the panty tearing away from the waistband? This has happened on several pairs I have, which are only six months old, even properly following the care instructions. Wouldn't care so much, and would still buy them for the comfort, but at their pricepoint, it is very expensive to be replacing them so frequently! March 21, 2014
uncomfortable crotch I have several pairs of this underwear, which I got all at once. I tried them on, then washed them before realizing that they ride up in the crotch, creating discomfort. Perhaps if there was a little more elastic around the legs creating a snugger fit there they would not do this. I do like the fabric and continue to wear them when bike riding because they wick the sweat well. September 4, 2013
Disappointed with purchase This was first time I purchased Icebreaker hot pants (any underwear). I had purchased many of the cami for about 5 years. So I thought I would give these a go. I have worn them once and dont like them at all. That being said, i think these hot pants you will either love or hate... no sitting on fence. For me, they were not comfortable. I prefer softer and more a boy leg. In general, the fit was not a good fit. So i would only recommend after trying on at shop. I purchased online. August 21, 2014
Not for me Comfortable waistband, awesome merino fabric but unfortunately these ride up my butt. I don't have the same issue with Siren Hipkini. June 21, 2013
