Surviving sub zero temps in Northern Minnesota Northern Minnesota is currently experiencing one of the coldest winters on record! The sub zero days are stringing together like the paper chain ornaments you made for your Christmas tree as a kid! These awesome Oasis Leggings have made going outdoors more comfortable and safe. at last, some that fit years ago I bought some icebreakers legging that were so comfortable, not tight at the waistband 100% merino. a few years later I bought another pair, but the waist band was skinny and tight. So it was a relief to order this pair and find they fit perfectly! Thank you December 22, 2013
Love Them I agonized over if I should get a small or medium. I'm 5'6'' and 148lbs. I wear a size 6 pant but after 3 babies in 3 and half years, I have a flabby midsection and I hate when stretchy pants sit too low or too high (under ribs). These hit just in the right spot and I got the small (although, I suspect a medium would have been fine too. They're definitely snug). They're a bit shear....I wouldn't wear them without a long enough top to fully cover your rump. And they definitely aren't long. The leg opening sits about an inch above my ankle bone. I also like that I can bend over and not have the slide down "plumber-style". The only thing I'd change is I wish they were about an 1.5'' longer, but I would still buy them regardless. Awesome~ly skimpy So... I love these pants. They are super thin, warm, fit under my Levi's skinny jeans when going out, snow pants in the hills and are fantastic for sleeping in your unheated house when its cold. I can only imagine they will serve me well whilst ice climbing. Liked 'em so much I went rock climbing in them, but was told by my climbing partner that WAY too much of my crotch was highlighted by the thin material... Apparently they are underwear? Need to remember this... December 17, 2013
Thin and flexible NOT ITCHY! Easy care and great warmth without being too bulky. December 15, 2013
Amazing base layer for backpacking I wasn't sure whether to get the 200gm base layer or the 260gm for three season backpacking in the Canadian Rockies. I opted for the 200gm after trying them on in store and I am very glad I made that choice. These leggings are very comfortable for sleeping in a -7°C rated sleeping bag at temperatures falling below 0°C (there was frost on my tent); the following morning, I began my hike wearing these leggings under my pants and was not uncomfortably warm even after a steep 5 km climb. These are definitely the best base layer I have ever owned, and I highly recommend them! September 12, 2013
Snuggie This fits snugly. Would great to wear underneath skinny pants. I love the feel of it. It's thin but not extremely thin. Very warm pants. If you like less snug, size 1 up if you can. Don't like it? Love the return policy. August 3, 2013
loved but returned This are a great set of leggings, although, I did exchange them for a different style. My measurements suggested size small but I should've ordered a medium because they are very snug fitting for a curvier body. I wouldn't hesitate to order them again (in medium) when I need a second pair of leggings. January 16, 2013
Perfect everyday under jeans/pants!! These are amazing! These are super light weight and thin. Going perfectly under skinny jeans and pants to keep warm in winter.Very good at wind breaking (perfect for living in wellington) Really recommend to all! June 27, 2012
Winter weather must have This year has been brutally cold. My old leggings just weren't cutting it. Got these and have been very pleased with their warmth and lightness. I can actually get snug jeans over them. I just wish the waist was a little higher. I am long waisted and these hit just at my hip. I keep trying to pull them up. February 12, 2014
Consider intended use and size before purchasing These leggings run a bit larger than expected. 5'5 120lb and I normall wear a small-medium in things but had to return for a size down. I live an active lifestyle cycling most places, which requires a lot of stretch and pull on the fabric. I don't think this particular item is up to the task of sports that require a lot of extended body movement. They might hold up to lighter sports, but really your best bet is to pick the Pace legging, which is stronger due to the seaming. These are very, very warm and comfy. I wear them in San Francisco for the winters. I like them but would have chosen another model of legging. If you are a person who spends all their time in leggings as a fashion and comfort issue, you will probably like these. I cannot wear synthetic leggings because they start to feel itchy and painful after a few hours, but I can wear these for a full day and have rarely felt uncomfortable. January 25, 2014
Love the print I am very pleased with the Quartz Oasis leggings. I have many Icebreaker products, including other leggings/long johns that are 150 weight. I purchased the medium and they are slightly baggier than my other pair of medium sized leggings, but they do fit and can be worn under tight jeans. These are a bit of a different fit than my 150's which do not have any seams across the back. Anyway, it's all good. A lot of my camping clothes are black and I wanted something different, so these are great. The image online looks teal-blue; in person they are more of a teal-green but still very nice. weird fit but so warm These leggings are a bit of a weird fit, I normally have a small but opted for the medium based on the comments. The medium appears too big (slightly), espcially at the top, but after trying on the small, I decided to stick to the medium. Besides the fit, I love these. nice and warm, nice to wear under office pants all day a, as well as walks with my dog. They fit nicely under skinny jeans also, which is a huge plus. December 4, 2013
Great, but a bit short. These have been warm and comfortable on my winter mountain bike rides in sub-zero temperatures. Only wish is that they were a bit longer; I have a 32-33" inch waist but am 6'2", so I have to pull my socks up a bit to keep everything covered. Not a problem though if you've got mid-length hiking socks on. They don't seem to quite cater for the tall and skinny guys out there. May 8, 2013
New, not improved I have a pair of older style leggings, and definitely noticed the changes in the "new and improved" fit. I am 5'10", 160 lbs, and after consulting the sizing chart, ordered a Large. The baggy "mom-jean" fit is gone, however the new cut is shorter in the waist and now creating a double whammy: "camel-toe" and "muffin-top". The leggings also are a bit short, above the ankle bone. Having long legs, I'm used to that, however I'm not sure I can live with the muffin top profile. I was hoping to wear them over tights and under tunics as leggings...can anyone suggest an alternative that fits high-waisted, long-legged gals?? October 25, 2014
Not a great fit; not enough stretch I bought these leggings in a small based on the size chart. I'm 5'4" and weight 119 but they didn't fit well. My legs are pretty muscular and there was not enough stretch in the legs to pull them up enough so the crotch fit properly. I could never have hiked in them. The crotch was about 2 or 3 inches too low. I thought a medium would have been too big in the waist so I returned them. Seemed like they were made for a more slender build. However, I loved the top I bought! I still love these products. December 15, 2013
