Perfect fleece perfect weight, well made- as always an Icebreaker winner November 8, 2013
Bike Hike and Work I have worn this sweater while biking in the breezy fall along the coast of Maine, Hiking along the AT and working in the Radiology Department in town. It is remarkably warm, comfortable and stylish. I particularly like the ease of the zipper mechanism and the feel of the Merino wool while exercising. October 31, 2013
My New "Go-To" The Sierra Long Sleeve Zip has a comfortable, relaxed fit, is luxuriously soft and keeps me warm before an early morning run or after an evening swim. It is the perfect light jacket/sweater for a mild coastal climate with morning fog and cool breezy evenings. This is my first IceBreaker purchase and it won't be my last! May 10, 2013
Perfect all-round fleece I bought this a month ago and have already got my money's worth. I use it for biking (getting cold now in this part of Canada), as an under-layer for fishing and other outdoor activities, and as a casual "going-out" jacket. What I like best is it's form fitting, it's warm, it fits easily under (or on top of) other layers, and it's just long enough to cover the majority of my neck, which is perfect for cycling on colder, windy mornings. It doesn't cut the wind however (which I expected) but a simple shell on top works perfect. October 22, 2012
Really nice sweater The Sierra full zip is a really nice piece of kit and for the most part I love it. It is very warm and comfy. It fits me perfectly and will function as a great mid-layer under my hardshell on the slopes this winter. Or as a light jacket in the spring and fall months. 2 points of constructive criticism if I may. Please put the zipper on these the normal way! Also when I wear this zipped 3/4 of the way up the collar on the zipper/left side does not want to lay flat. Constantly sticking up into my chin. It's mildly annoying. Aside from those 2 quirks this is a really nice full zip. Highly functional and versatile. December 1, 2013
VERY Warm! I use this when I take the kids skating. If layered well, it is super warm. But if the wind picks up, not the best at keeping it from going right through you. So as mentioned, a shell would be needed. Stretches well so I use a mid-weight Icebreaker top underneath - that keeps me comfortable 90% of the time. I got the black and it is not too sporty or too dressy. But people compliment it and how 'sleek' it is without being the typical fleece sport jacket from other companies. I have a similar one but with a hood. Soft and cozy. November 6, 2013
Outdoors or Casual The Sierra Full-Zip is a comfortable fleece that keeps you warm and insulated while also breathing well and not overheating you. The RealFleece material really is extra-comfortable. I love how you can transition from the cold outdoors to the warmth of a house or building without having to shed various layers due to overheating, and vice versa; the Sierra adjusts perfectly on its own. The hand pockets are certainly useful for warmth or storage (since they zip up). I've rarely found a use for the left sleeve pocket (so, mostly for show, I guess), but every now and then I find something small enough to put it to use. The construction of the fleece is nice; it holds more of its own shape than most IB garments. In turn, this can somewhat limit arm movement and overall movement in general, but certainly not enough to be a deal breaker. It can be used in the outdoors in certain capacities, but regardless, I use it with casual/dress wear whenever I get a chance. Great product! June 26, 2012
