Villa Dress
This is the perfect dress. Comes just above the knees and does need a shell underneath the top. Super comfortable, very flattering and packs into nothing in your suitcase.

Beautiful and Effortless
I LOVE my Villa dress. When I first tried it on, I wasn't sure about the cut...it IS a bit short and narrow in the hips, generous in the tummy. It took a few tries with the extra-long belt to make it look right, but once I got the hang of it, I've loved it! I fly for business about once a month and ALWAYS pack or wear this icebreaker dress. The color (I have the blue) is beautifully saturated, the feel is lovely, and the weight is perfect. Alone it's quite breezy; pair it with tights and/or a scar and it's toasty. Dresses up or down nicely with accessories as well. My boss, my husband, and random strangers all give me compliments in this one.

Favourite.Dress.Ever
I own a lot of 'sweater dresses' but this is unlike anyone I've bought before. Light weight merino is a dream to wear (not itchy, I don't have to layer underneath like some other wool out there), it can be worn pretty much year round and looks good with leggings & boots in the cooler season or cute sandals in the warm season. I was hoping Icebreaker would bring this out in some other colours...and they have! My biggest issue now: which colour to buy next? Decisions, Decisions. I'm 5'6, and 135lbs, I bought medium and I'd say it's a little loose (might need a cami for office wear) but I like the fit/wouldn't go smaller as I'd like to be able to still wear it in warmer weather.

ALL SEASONS DRESS
I bought this dress 3 yrs ago and have worn it to work (engineering factory) religiously during summer and winter. Black; hides the dirt, merino; warm as toast, fine; great for layering.
I wear it without the belt (cut off the loops) over black skinny jeans and boots for the winter, with large scarf and blazer.
In summer, I wear it alone, with summer scarf (tan leopard print) and tan flat knee high boots without tights. Looks great and breathes well in hot temperature.
In short...a big fan of it.

Rode a century
This is my go-to staple dress for pretty much everything. It fits very well; clings to those places I like to show while gently skimming the places I like to hide. I'm 5'7" , 135 lbs and the small fits me just right.
I wore it while riding a century bike ride- it held it's shape up and down the mountains. Not only did I get compliments (and some incredulous looks) during the ride, when we got to the end of the ride, I still looked fabulous and was able to go to dinner just by changing my shoes.

put on a blazer and it made it more dressy
I love the fact that no matter how often you wear it and wash it it does not pile, compared to other dresses in the same price range. Excellent quality, thus giving it 5 stars, the dress flattered very well and hit above my knee. I have worn it mostly casual, but was in a pinch this one day and wore the dress with a blazer and heels and it became a little black dress (too bad about the raw edges). It was great in late March Canadian weather and in dog days of summer

Hübsches, bürotaugliches Kleid
Das Kleid ist zwar nicht A-Linienförmig geschnitten, kaschiert aber trotzdem sehr gut (breites Becken). Sogar die Länge ist noch bürotauglich (ich bin 177 cm).
Ich liebe auch den dazugehörigen "Gürtel", wg. seiner Vielseitigkeit.

I hesitated to order this dress for couple of weeks because of somewhat negative reviews I found on line. But I am so happy I finally made the call to try it. I am 5'7" and 125lb with broad climber shoulder, 34A chest and 35" hips. Size small fits me extremely well and give my boyish body some curves. The picture from Icebreaker is pretty much right on except it looked slightly longer than showing on the model -- about 2 inches above knee for me and totally appropriate for office wear. The top opening is a bit lower than what I used to but my husband said it's just low enough to be sexy. And I can always wear a camis under if I don't want to show any cleavage. I find the trick to wear the long belt is to leave it wrapped 3 rounds when putting the dress on and then do some fine adjustment and tie up. An extreme versatile classic looking dress. After receiving the black one, I immediately ordered the "blizzard" color and it's a nice neutron grey.

Love this dress!
I am 5'6" and it comes to just above the knee. In most icebreaker stuff I am medium, but, decided to try a large in this dress based on some of the reviews I read. I was confused by the belt, but, if you wear it the way suggested in the picture on line, it works great - I have a slight roundness in my tummy, and, wearing the belt as suggested makes it very slimming. Also, I found the neckline a wee bit low for my liking, so, I threw on a bandeau over my bra, and it is perfect!

Villa Dress
I have an older version of this dress an have absolutely thrashed it winter and summer. Just bought new Icebreaker grey leggings to update it for this winter. It's a great investment piece. Also worn under other dresses to layer up.

Can't go wrong with wool for elegance
I've only worn this dress once, for Christmas, but I'm very pleased with it. It has a good length: short but not too much so. Looked good with tights. I was afraid of looking frumpy in it because I've thickened about the middle lately, but actually it was slimming, and I got complements on how I looked. It was true to size, nice neckline, easy to dress up or down. I felt like wearing a slip would have been nice (I don't have one the right length), since I wore wool against tights, but it wasn't too bad, probably because it was short enough. I did iron out the creases the first time, but after a quick and easy swish in the sink, it dried beautifully.

My Go-To Dress for Travel etc
I've worn this dress for the past year every time I travel. It is both practical and chic. It is very versatile. I sometimes layer it with thin leggings underneath. You can dress it up or down very easily; it always looks good!. I agree with the other reviewer; this dress is not an a-line, more slim fitting. The dress runs on the slightly smaller/snugger side, so size up if you don't want a form-fitting dress. I would buy this dress again (but don't need to, as it's holding up well, as all Icebreaker does!).

flattering dress
Great fitting dress that I can dress up or down. I love the fit and the softness of the wool. I find it to be more a straight line than an A-line. True to size.

Love this dress
I think this dress is my new favorite article of clothing. Lightweight merino wool is so versatile and travels well. I've worn it on very hot days and I've been fine.
I do think that this dress runs small. I am a medium in almost every brand, sometimes a small; I usually wear an 8 and sometimes a 6. I ordered the medium and it was a little short and snug; the large is much better for me. I have a bit more width than I need, but the fabric is drapey so it's fine.

LOVE IT!
I am 5'6" and 125lb and I got the small. It is a tiny bit loose bc I have no hips but the belt takes care of that. It is very comfortable and can be worn with heals or even my toms. I love it!

This dress is the bomb!
I took this dress on a trip to Florida and ended up wearing it for 3 days b/c it was so comfortable and so versatile. It was comfortable for travel, casual and cool at the theme parks and easy to dress up for dining out. I paired it with tights and a sweater for travel. I wore it alone to the theme parks and it dried quickly after the water rides; my family was completely jealous. I dressed it up with accessories and wore it into the nice restaurants in our resort. I packed other clothes, but didn't bother because this dress was PERFECT. I want an entire wardrobe of Icebreaker products!

versatile dress
This little black dress packs up small, fits well, washes easily, and can be dressed up or down to suit the occasion.
Great for travel. Very comfortable in hot weather as it breathes well, dries quickly and the wool fabric doesn't show perspiration.
Cold water machine wash and hang to dry to keep it looking it's best.
The loops for the belt at the waist are a little finicky, but the belt finishes the look of the dress if you're not accessorizing with a scarf or jacket/top.

Fun and versatile.
This dress is a fun deviation from my usual, more A-line and neutral cuts and colours. The bright colour is eye-catching and the material superb, as with all Icebreaker. My one complaint is that the rear area is rather snug, enough so that I had to size up to a medium and sacrifice some fitting in the chest area. No real problem, though - I can throw my Bliss wrap over top of it and that compensates for the bagginess in the chest area.
I have an athletic hourglass shape, 1.58m, 52 kg, and the medium is a bit large, but the small, as I mentioned, is too tight in the rear. A straighter-framed girl of about my size would be wise to purchase the small, as the dress fits true to size (just not for me).
The V-neck is rather low, so I usually throw on a cami underneath. A heavy slip underneath also helps with the lower-half snugness. Would recommend particularly for tall, thin women - this dress seems made for you.

nice for summer
I purchased this dress (even though its dark) to wear in the summer. The fit is nice. Its a bit more form fitting then I am use to. I am 5"8 135lbs and I bought a medium. The fabric is soft not scratchy and not to thin. My boyfriend gave it a thumbs up and he never likes to comment on my apparel. ;)

watch out for shrinkage
This is a great dress style-wise and comfort-wise. However I have found that it shrunk after the first wash. It fitted perfectly in the shop but is now a little firm. I would have purchased the next size up if I had been warned that it might shrink. And yes I followed the washing instructions perfectly.

Versatile Dress
I purchased this dress to use while traveling - but am using it at home as well. It's light, soft, feels good against the skin. It does not wrinkle.
I normally wear small in Icebreaker tops, but bought the dress in medium because i have 40' hips and it fits very well (not too lose nor too tight)
I love the striped color - very well made! and great color combination!

Great fabric, but only for certain body types
I loved the material, but it flatters a specific body type. I have an athletic build with boy hips and no breasts, and the Villa dress almost looks dowdy on me. The Roma might be a better cut for athletic body types.

funny cut for some people
I think you have to be really fit and have a certain body type for this dress to look good. For me I usually wear a medium and the fit across the belly and behind was awkward for me. I went up a size and it's a bit bag-like on me, but I wanted a wool dress.

Short and low-cut
I find this dress too short and too low-cut. I'm not a terribly modest person, but I'm afraid of a wardrobe malfunction in this dress. Part of the problem is that it shrunk a bit after washing though I did follow the wash instructions. Also, I'm tall for my weight so the small fits around the body but not in length. On top, the v-neck almost shows the band of my bra.
All that said, though, it's a nice dress and great icebreaker quality as usual.

Does not fit real women
This dress is too short for a 5'3" woman, hitting at the mid to upper thigh. It is cut very low in the front and cut very tight. The belt is ridiculously long.
