Most versatile shirt ever And the most comfortable! I wear this shirt in almost any context, 80 degrees, -20, sunny or cloudy, rain or snow, dressing up to go out or going for a hike in the hills. I love the way the shirt has of keeping me warm in a early morning chill and also letting my body breath in the midday heat. It's a fantastic travel garment, avoiding wrinkles and creases and highly packable. When soiled a quick soap and rinse and its dry the next morning. If the weather turns foul, you have a great base, just layer up. I would not recommend wearing this shirt in high humidity however. Also cat claws wreak havoc on the weave so have a care. On the whole, a fantastic item. March 20, 2013
Any day, anytime shirt! I wear this shirt everywhere! I've used it as an undershirt for work, pajama shirt, fishing shirt, casual hang out with friends shirt, gym shirt. It's fit is pretty good, not too-tight or too-loose, but a little bit long (I'm 5'6/7", 140lb and wear a S). As far as the smell goes, I usually wash it about once every 2 weeks, but in the span of 2 weeks, I probably go fishing once or twice and go sweat profusely in it about 6-8 times. Even at the end, there really isn't any smell, as compared to a cotton shirt, which smells funky after wearing once to the gym. All-in-all, great shirt with multi-functional purpose that performs great: no odor, dries quickly, and looks good! June 15, 2012
My weekend shirt, every weekend, all weekend If you catch me off my bicycle on a weekend or on a vacation, you'll probably catch me wearing this. It doesn't matter what season, even in hot Texas summers. 100+ in DFW or 90 w/ 95% humidity in Houston. The fit seems to work for my 6'6" / 250 lb self so don't fret that they don't advertise a tall size. Most T-shirts are a bit short on me but this one is just fine in the length. Be verrrrry careful to mind the instructions. I have some other merino shirts that have been through the drier and they will never be the same. The only think I would change? I would have gotten a color other than black. In the summer, I will sweat outside and this shirt will show the salt. It won't stink, it will feel a million times better than cotton, but it will show the salt. June 14, 2012
Great lite weight T I found it to be as described and don't have a problem with size or thickness, it's great as a T on it's own or as a layer under other shirts, I've worn many times and it dries quick after washing and after a couple of washes the itchiness went away May 19, 2012
Love these shirts! I own two of the SS 150's, and they are amazing! I've never owned a shirt that I could work out in one day, and wear again the next day without any odor... verified by my wife by the way! I'll be buying more for sure! May 18, 2012
Can't go wrong When I first received this shirt, the fit was off. After washing and air drying (of course), the shirt took up a bit and fit much better. It performs just as described. Being thinner, the shirt will take on odor sooner than the thicker IB products, but wash times are still few and far between. February 22, 2012
Good in hot and cool weather I wear this weight top all year round. Desert heat of over 100* down to freezing. Works as layers very well. No odor. I have about eight of the 150's. December 14, 2011
Excellent for summer use Lighter weight short sleeve T-shirt means this is great for the summer. I went camping last summer and a couple of these easily lasted for the week. Cool when valley walking in hot weather, warm (with a shell) in the clouds at 2500 feet and good for the pub in the evening as it looks smart and just refuses to smell. I just alternated between the 2 T-shirts for the week. So far seems to be just as hard wearing as the heavier weight products even though it is thinner material. The perfect T-shirt...I think so. Great for Hot Weather and Travel The Tech T Lite is a great shirt for summer wear. It has a comfortable, relaxed fit, not tight like the Bodyfit tops. The shirt performs well in wicking away perspiration and keeping you relatively cool in hotter weather. I use it for jogging, hiking, biking, kayaking on the lake, and since it's a looser fit, I even wear it casually too. I've worn it for days on end without it picking up any odor; in comparison, synthetic shirts I had worn before would pick up smells after about an hour and just get worse from there. The shirt is lightweight, so it feels great in warm conditions; I get hot easily, so I've worn it in temperatures ranging from the 60's to the 100's (F, ~16 - ~40 C)! It also dries quickly if it gets wet. Despite the high price, it's a great investment that's worth it! Keep in mind, in order to get the most out of your Tech T Lite, I'd follow the care instructions that are recommended. Also, I'd be careful not to come in contact with things like tree branches, thorns, maybe velcro, or anything similar that could sharply grab the merino wool fabric; the shirt is relatively delicate and it seems like things like this could puncture it. I guess if there's any downside, that would be it. So, just be careful and enjoy! I've been using it almost daily for a while now, being mindful of these things, and shirt looks just like it did the day that I got it! I plan on getting more! September 27, 2011
Expensive, and worth it. Because of the price, this T shirt is an indulgence. There's no way around that. I own some silk shirts tailor made for me in Bangkok that cost less. That's why it gets 4 stars. However, there's nothing I own that I would rather wear against my skin, including those silk shirts. I originally bought two for travel. They weigh next to nothing and take little more room than a handkerchief in the suitcase. Alone, under a shirt or under a sport coat, they look and feel good. I now own 5: 2 long sleeve and 3 short sleeve. I wear one almost every day, and I love them. May 12, 2013
Great, but one dealbreaker I own three of these shirts and for the most part they are fantastic except for one flaw. They are lightweight, warm when it's chilly, cool when it's hot, and take days (even in hot weather) to develop odors. I wear them primarily under other shirts but occasionally on their own. The one (and for me fatal) flaw is what I call a "pull down failure". You put on the shirt and grab the back/sides to pull it down. Two of the shirts I own both had small holes torn in them, both in the first week I owned them. So I have great shirts with thumb sized holes torn in the rear/back. As I mainly wear them as undershirts, it's not a big deal, but I don't think I will be buying anymore. April 11, 2012
Does take on a stink, contrary to claims This shirt, and lightweight merino wool shirts from another manufacturer, does start to stink after wearing it in warm weather for even one or two days. this is unlike heavier (winter) weight merino, which never seems to take on body odor. Other than that, this is a nice shirt. Looks and feels much nicer than a cotton t-shirt. Comfortable for working out in all but the warmer weather -- just wash it afterwards! December 9, 2011
Ichy after one wash Shirt feels great the first time you put it on, but after one warm machine wash and line dry (as suggested by the label) the shirt became itchy and unwearable. Unexpected from merino wool at this price. May 1, 2012
