Feet stay warm even when the socks get wet. When racing sailboats, my feet can get wet and cotton socks stayed soggy and my feet got cold. These socks are lightweight and warm. The downside is they do get smelly. They dry fairly quickly even covered in salt water. I wear them 3/4 of the year sailing, hiking, or biking. June 17, 2012
